"La ermita de la Virgen del Puig, en la cima del Puig de Bellver, es de 1526. Entre 1582 y 1618 se estableció una comunidad de monjes capuchinos, que se marcharon después de construir un convento nueve más cerca del pueblo. La capilla se reedificó entre 1919 y 1935. Tras los desastres de la Guerra Civil, se rehabilitó a principios de los años sesenta, bajo la dirección de los arquitectos Joan Bergós y Eugeni Rosich, y se añadió el obelisco-campanario que la singulariza (1962) y el pórtico (1964). La Virgen del Puig es la patrona de la villa desde que en 1687 la salvó de una plaga de langostas.
El lugar permite una visión panorámica a los cuatro vientos, lo que le ha dado con toda seguridad un gran valor estratégico desde que el hombre se ha establecido en estos lugares, hoy sólo roto por los cedros que le rodean. Mirando a norte, divisamos el Montseny, con los bosques de encinas y robles que rodean Campins y Mosqueroles, e incluso el hayedo cerca de la cima y del Turó de Morou. Si vamos girando hacia la derecha, en el sentido de las agujas del reloj, vemos la cuenca de la Tordera, por donde el río continúa su camino hacia el mar confundido en una intrincada red de comunicaciones, con el castillo de Montsoriu de fondo a su izquierda y la llanura de la Selva, a la derecha. En primer término los tejados de la zona urbana más cercanos al Pertegàs. Mirando al sureste, se ve el centro de la villa, donde destaca la parroquia de Sant Martí, y al fondo la Montaña de Baix, la parte del Montnegre más oscura y salvaje. Hacia el sur, los barrios de la avenida de la Pau, los Cinco Puentes sobre la Tordera y el barrio de Moixerigues, con el Corredor al fondo. A sudoeste, la vista se abre a la llanura del Vallès, bajo un horizonte prácticamente llano que permite vislumbrar la cuenca del Mogent, y al oeste, volvemos a encontrar los contrafuertes del Montseny, y vemos cómo sube hacia el Pla de la Calma, con el Cerro de San Elías y el de Samon, más arriba. Cerraremos el círculo repasando el Puig Drau, la cima más elevada de la Calma (1.339 m) y las pendientes del Coll Formic, que separa esta montaña del macizo de Matagalls."
