El lugar donde se encuentra este manantial, es donde se dice que un pastor encontró la imagen de la Virgen en el año 1383, como se encontraba en el interior de la gruta donde surge el agua se le empezó a llamar Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta, muy venerada en los pueblos de la zona.
