This is one of thirty two-sided murals painted on concrete traffic barriers in 2021. This one, by artist Josh Creighton ("Josh Cr8on" (visit link) combines white and green-blue tones and hard edges with red-orange accents and softer leafy shapes.

In 2021, Calgary’s BUMP mural festival branched out into new territory: concrete traffic barriers (Jersey barriers). Nine artists painted thirty barriers to brighten up communities and protect ad hoc pandemic restaurant patios from traffic. This program of mini-murals was repeated in 2022 and 2023.

By 2023, some of the barriers had been moved to this corner of Shouldice Athletic Park, close to parking for a very popular accessible playground.

Other murals by Josh Creighton are at Red Deer's Salon Harper (4813 47 St) (visit link) and Calgary's Southland LRT station. (visit link)
