This statue is of former New York Mets pitcher Tom Seaver and is located in front of the Mets' home park, Citi Field in Queens, New York.

Known as "The Franchise" Tom Seaver pitched for the Mets from 1967 to 1977 and in 1983, winning the 1969 World Series with the Mets. He was a 12 time All-Star, 3 time National League Cy Young winner and pitched a no-hitter on June 16, 1978 with the Cincinnati Reds. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992. Seaver passed away at the age of 75 on August 31st, 2020.

The statue was debuted on April 15, 2022. Made by William Behrends, the statue is made of bronze and stainless steel on a granite mound weighing a total of 33,600 pounds.
