Jazzgutten (The jazz boy) with his saxophone stands in the square with the fjord and the mountains as a background. An obvious sculpture in a city known for its annual Jazzfestival.

The sculpture was created by sculptor Nina Due and was a public gift for the city of Molde's 250th anniversary in 1992.

The sculpture of the Jazz Boy is made of bronze and placed on a large granite stone. In the middle of the stone is a plaque telling about the anniversary.

Text on the sign.
