Este imponente Castillo del siglo X, convertido actualmente en sede de la Fundación Abertis, está situado sobre una colina, ocupado por asentamientos humanos desde antiguo, en la orilla norte del pantano de Foix, punto de partida de interesantes rutas para descubrir la riqueza natural del pueblo de Castellet i la Gornal.

El Castillo de Castellet, declarado Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional, fue construido con la intención de controlar el sector oriental de la llanura del Penedès durante el conflicto entre cristianos y musulmanes.
