Over Markelo
Een van de oudste dorpen van Twente, met opvallend glooiende essen en vijf heuvels. Markelo heeft veel agrarische buurtschappen, waar moderne bedrijfsvoering gekoppeld is aan tradities.

About Markelo
One of the oldest villages in Twente, with striking rolling ash trees and five hills. Markelo has many agricultural hamlets, where modern business operations are linked to traditions.
Sights include the Martinus Church, the Buursink De Hoop Mill (a wind, corn and peeling mill) and the Eungs Schöppe Museum. There are many annual events, such as the Markelo Village Festival and the open-air performances in the Kösterskoele.
