"Mudejar building with a single nave with a wooden roof and main chapel. In the Baroque the building was expanded with a side nave and in the 18th century the tower was built and the doorways were carved. Inside the church you can admire works of singular value: paintings, sculptures from the Sevillian school and magnificent altarpieces, among which the main altarpiece that houses the patron saint of Benacazón, the Virgen de las Nieves; the Cristo del Crucero, from the 15th century, and the altarpiece of the sacramental chapel, a work carried out in 1618 by the workshop of Juan Martínez Montañés and renovated in 1632. Here you can admire the sculpture of the Virgin of Granada, a work from the mid-16th century attributed to the circle of Roque Balduque.

Although the parish church of Benacazón is of Mudejar origin, dating back to the 16th century, and was subjected to several subsequent extensions, it was in the 18th century when it acquired the aesthetics and physiognomy that has been attempted to be recovered with the utmost care and splendor during the latest works. of restoration. The works, which lasted seven months, consisted of recovering some paintings and polychrome tiles, as well as the original almagra color of the façade, covered by different layers of paint over the years. The intervention also included the replacement of the main door, the burying of the exterior wiring and the improvement of the artistic lighting of the façade. The inauguration of the exterior restoration of the parish church took place on July 22, 2009."
