"Casi escondida en el caserío se esta calle Diezmo, la ermita que tiene delante, discreta y sencilla, expande raíces populares a lo largo y ancho de todo Aznalcázar.
De puerta para dentro, la ermita esconde una profundidad insospechada de casi 500 años de historia ininterrumpida, En efecto, la Seráfica, real, Piadosa, Muy antigua y Muy Noble hermandad Y Cofradïa de Nazarenos del Santísimo Cristo de la Vera+Cruz, Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación Y Santa María Magdalena, titulo de esta ermita y sus imágenes, fue fundada en el año 1538, según el Libro de reglas fundacional que conserva la Hermandad, con el objeto esencial de propagar la Veneración a la Vera-Cruz, termino abreviado por el que se conoce a la hermandad popularmente.
Reformada en 1963, el actual edificio alberga tesoros artísticos de inspiraciones neogóticas, como el retablo principal donde se veneran las imágenes del Cristo de la Vera-Cruz y de la Virgen de la Encarnación del siglo XVII y XVIII respectivamente, y anónima autoría,
Además de una talla escultórica de Santa María Magdalena, de la que el Cristo de la Vera+Cruz se hace acompañar en un sobrio y único paso procesional cada tarde de jueves Santo.
La imagen de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación tiene un a historia particular, ya que tuvo que permaneces tres años exiliada en el Palacio de los Marqueses de Yanduri, en Sevilla y otros bienes eclesiásticos.
"Los días de la Encarnación" son días grandes para el Pueblo de Aznalcázar.
Desde 1977, cada último sábado de septiembre, víspera de la procesión Floral. En ella, las hermanas vestidas de flamenca, acudirán a la ermita para llevar hermosas ramos de claveles a la Virgen.
El domingo se inicia con el trdicional pasacalles, que llena de música e ilusión las calles de la localidad. A este le sigue un mediodía de función, en la que se honra la imagen de la Virgen.
la tarde marca el final de los actos, con la salida en procesión de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación por las calles de Aznalcázar."
