Saint Jo was once named Head of Elm. This is the oldest of three cemeteries in the area. There are twelve old gravestones here. It is believed that the cemetery was once somewhat larger but those markers have been lost. The first recorded burial here was in 1874 but it is believed that burials here might date back to the 1860s. A historical marker here gives some details.
