Depuis plus de 250 ans maintenant, de multiples théories sont avancées pour tenter d’expliquer la centaine d’attaques mortelles recensée au nord de la Lozère entre 1764 et 1767. Loup, hybride, chien dressé pour l’attaque, animal exotique, loup-garou ou tueur en série, les avis divergent et le mystère autour de l’histoire la Bête du Gévaudan reste entier
cette sculpture représentant la très fameuse Bête du Gévaudan.
Elle fut réalisée par Noel et Roch Pélissier, ferronniers d'art à Saint Alban (Lozère) en 1992.

For more than 250 years now, multiple theories have been put forward to try to explain the hundred fatal attacks recorded north of Lozère between 1764 and 1767. Wolf, hybrid, dog trained for attack, exotic animal, wolf- werewolf or serial killer, opinions differ and the mystery surrounding the story of the Beast of Gévaudan remains unsolved
this sculpture representing the very famous Beast of Gévaudan.
It was made by Noel and Roch Pélissier, artistic ironworkers in Saint Alban (Lozère) in 1992.
