Boggess Park is named for one of the families who settled in this area. Notoriously, a young man from that family was convicted and executed for the murder of a Saint Jo grocery store owner some years ago. There are not many amenities here; an old basketball court, some old-school children's play equipment, and room to walk the dog. There is a softball field at the northeast end of the park. A historical marker at the southwest corner of the park gives some history of the town.
