This is a 19th century fountain built in stone. There is a wash house nearby. It has 4 water exits and the water flows without interruption. Nowadays is not so used but back in time it was essential to provide fresh water to the community. The surrounding area was renovated by the São Brás de Alportel town hall in 2009. It was originally built in the second half of the 19th century by the town hall - a different one, as the administrative borders shifted. From Faro to São Brás de Alportel.
