To the right side of the entrance into the building from which Austin City Limits is found a metal plaque with the seal of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum at the top, followed by text declaring that Austin City Limits is "The longest-running music series in American television history. This metal plaque is across the entrance way from a life-sized bronze sculpture of Willie Nelson sitting on a stool playing his guitar.
The plaque has a round crest at its top center that reads "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum". In the middle of this crest are frets of a guitar neck and strings. The body of the text on the sign is below this crest.
The main text reads as follows:

The longest-running music series in American television history. ACL recorded its first program with Willie Nelson in October 1974 at KLRU-TVat the University of Texas. Showcasing roots music, legends and innovative popular music from every genre, ALC has become a music icon and helped build Austin's reputation as the "Living Music Captiol of the World."
In the lower left corner is the Austin City Limits logo.
Since the date of October 17, 1974 is when Austin City Limits began airing musical programming, it will reach its 50th anniversary on October 17, 2024.
