Bowers, PA is a small village (population 326, per the most recent wikipedia entry) between Topton and Fleetwood, PA along a great shortcut from Allentown to Reading, PA. There is actually some pretty cool things going on here.

The Bowers Lions Club is very active here, hosting an annual Easter Egg hunt and other events in the William DeLong Memorial Park. They are also the only organization with their own named pavilion. The Lions plaque is prominently displayed on the pavilion.

As for other interesting things going on here, Bowers is home to an annual Chili Pepper Festival (http://pepperfestival.com/), entering its 27th year in 2023. It is held every year, the weekend after Labor Day. I do recall that the Lions Pavilion is where many main events are held, including the chili pepper eating contest.
