There was once a bandshell here, but it has been replaced by a brand new amphitheater. The borough still calls it the Band Shell, but per the waymarking criteria of needing 3 sides enclosed, it is too open air to meet those criteria. So, it is an amphitheater!

Anyway, several years prior to 2023, the old original bandshell was condemned due to decay. In early 2023, "Fleetwood received about $380,000 in grant funding to install a new bridge over a nearby creek, repair the creek to address flood damage and install a new bandshell. All three projects were scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day 2023."

The new amphitheater is actually quite nice and modern. Built as a half hexagon, it is actually open on the back and two sides. It has a pointed wooden roof, along with several banks of seating for music fans. As you will see in one of the photos, skateboarders and other personal vehicular rascals are discouraged from shredding on the "bandshell".

Website is for the Borough of Fleetwood Parks & Recreation department. The amphitheater is prominent here.
Type of Amphitheater: Contemporary Amphitheater
