"The monument to Rosalía de Castro in the Alameda de Santiago is the one that has the greatest modernist influence of all of them is the monument to Rosalía de Castro, inaugurated during the festivities of the Apostle in 1917. The monument was designed by the architect Isidro de Benito Domínguez (1870-1896-1932) and the sculptures were made by Francisco Clivillés, who did not charge their fees for the work, as a personal contribution to the monument, joining a large number of organizations and figures that financed it. The execution of the project was carried out by the brothers
Giménez, master builders.

THE AUTHORS AND EXECUTORS OF THE MONUMENT TO ROSALÍA CASTRO. Mr. Francisco Clivillés, who made the sculptural groups that garnered so much praise.-The Giménez brothers, popular master builders, who contracted the execution of the project. - Mr. Isidro de Benito, architect, author of the project.

The complex is presided over by the seated statue of the writer and surrounded by several references to Galicia, such as a couple of popular characters, and to her most recognized works such as The Knight of the Blue Boots, Galician Songs, On the Banks of the Sar and Follas Novas ""
