"La ciudad de Santa Fe guarda y conserva el trazado de su casco histórico. Dispuesto a modo de campamento militar, lo atraviesan dos calles principales que comienzan y terminan en la puerta y que se cruzan dando lugar a una plaza central dearmas.
El plano reticular de santa Fe se convierte en el rimer modelo urbano de la España Moderna, Trazado que fue exportado a numerosas ciudades del continente americano.

Su legado monumental es fiel reflejo de la evolucón histórica de la ciudad.
Aún puede observarse las cuatro puertas o arcos que, siglos atrás eras la únicas vías de entrada a la ciudad fortaleza amurallada a trávez de sus puentes levadizos que hacían posible sortear las aguas del foso que la rodeaba.
La puerta que esta orientada al al este (Puerta Granada) , siendo la que posee más rica ornamentaciónes interior.
La puerta exenta se cayó con el terremoto de 1698, siendo reconstruida por el cabildo e instalándose una capilla dedicada a la Virgen del Rosario. Hat que destacar la cúpula profusamente decorada con motivos vegetales, venera y mascarones polícromos de escayola."

"The city of Santa Fe guards and conserves the layout of its historic center. Arranged like a military camp, two main streets run through it that begin and end at the door and intersect giving rise to a central plaza for weapons.
The reticular plan of Santa Fe became the first urban model of Modern Spain, a layout that was exported to numerous cities on the American continent.

Its monumental legacy is a faithful reflection of the historical evolution of the city.
You can still see the four doors or arches that, centuries ago, were the only entrance routes to the walled fortress city through its drawbridges that made it possible to overcome the waters of the moat that surrounded it.
The door that faces east (Puerta Granada), being the one with the richest interior ornamentation.
The free-standing door fell during the earthquake of 1698, and was rebuilt by the council and a chapel dedicated to the Virgin of the Rosary was installed. It is worth highlighting the dome profusely decorated with plant motifs, scallops and polychrome plaster masks."
