The cross is 14 feet high and stands on a 3 step base. The plinth has an inscription on the front face and is flanked by small stone sculptures of a soldier and a sailor both standing holding a reversed rifle.
It was erected in 1923 and repaired in 2019 as the shaft of the cross had started to lean backwards.
