Controversial shield due to the humiliation to which the Last Moorish King in Spain was subjected.

"The persecution of symbols that were once in force has become the dogma of political schizophrenia. The turn is now for the head of the little king, Boabdil, the last Muslim monarch of the peninsula, who was captured in the battle of Lucena by Diego Fernández de Córdoba. Since then, in the coat of arms of that illustrious family, a chained Moor's head appears that some Andalusian municipalities adopted for their own. Well, now the town councils of a few of these have agreed to eliminate the chain so as not to disturb. Árchez, Canillas de Aceituno, Sayalonga and Sedella, have removed the chain from the way and placed a beautiful scepter in the Moor's hand. Comares and Valenzuela have refused to perpetrate the heraldic attack, and the Fernández de Córdoba family "has raised a cry in the sky."
