Tragic Mask is a theatre themed 15 foot sculpture located at the NRHP listed historic Valentine Theatre at 410 Adams St, Toledo, OH 43604.

"Titled "Tragic Mask," Mr. Poirier said the 15-foot-tall granite effigy was inspired by a small fragment of ancient Roman glass he saw while touring the Toledo Museum of Art. He and his wife, Anne, work as a team, and they were chosen from a field of more than 100 international submissions. The Blade wrote during the unveiling that “their goal was to create art that combines mythology, architecture, and archaeology with a local element.” The sculpture was originally designed with glass as the main material, but weather and weight restrictions made it impractical. Instead, three types of granite were imported from Brazil, Finland, and Zimbabwe. After assembly in Carrara, Italy, the sculpture was shipped to Toledo, making it one of the most international pieces in the city’s collection."-Arts in Ohio
