NAZARETH HALL, Green and Center Sts., built in 1754 as a residence for Count Von Zinzendorf, Moravian leader, was used as the main building of Nazareth Hall Military Academy after Zinzendorf returned to Europe and failed to come back to America. Since 1929, when the military academy was discontinued, this Georgian Colonial stone building has been a children's home. The floors retain the thick wide planks laid almost two centuries ago. The bell in the tower was cast in Holland in1752..
When I originally waymarked this long ago, I never realized that it was part of the American Guide series under a different name.
