"Although its chronology is somewhat difficult to discern, it is accepted that it was built during the 1730s and was completed during the second half of the 18th century. On the first floor it is known that Antonio Rafael de Mora y Saavedra housed an antique cabinet for his visits to the palace, among which was the 2nd century Roman statue of Eros that was found in the foundations of the ground floor in 2010.1

The building was sold in 1879 to the Mata Burgos family, later known as Torres Burgos. In 1982 it was declared a "Historical-artistic monument of national character", currently framed in the declaration of Asset of Cultural Interest. Just a few years later, the structure was purchased by the Ministry of Justice, which redefined its use as a courthouse with works between 1986 and 1987."
