The Alva Cemetery is located at the end of Cemetery Road in the rural community of Alva, Florida. There are just over a 1000 interments at the time of this posting. The cemetery was established on November 4, 1889 and has served residents of East Lee County since.

"This is a lovely cemetery in a rural setting. Travel north on River
Road in Alva to Cemetery Road. Turn right onto Cemetery Road near a creek.
The road divides with huge, old oak trees in the center. Drive through the
orange grove until the paved road ends. The cemetery is on the right and is
surrounded by a chained link fence."
One grave of a famous person is in the cemetery. Country music singer Mindy McCready is interned in an unmarked grave per her family's request.
