Henninger’s School House was originally in Upper Milford Township, but this small slice was annexed by the borough of Emmaus in 1927.
The Citizens Fire Company needed a place to serve the community.
The original building was bought on August 19, 1927 from the Emaus School District at a cost of $1,500. The Emaus School District acquired the two-room building from Upper Milford Township by annexation. Members of the Company voluntarily remodeled the school house.
