large belfry bell tower that houses a bell.

"From the beginning of the 18th century, ordered to be erected by the Marquises of Benamejí. The Virgin the Head presides over the austere central chamber open in the wall, on which hangs a painting of the Virgin of Guadalupe. On one side is the image of Saint Sebastián and in the other San Roque.

The interior gate is from the disappeared Convent of Discalced Carmelites (male) that was in Benamejí, completely carved with floral motifs, highlighting the carving of the shield of the Order of Carmel.

In this hermitage there is an image of great devotional tradition such as San Judas Tadeo, patron saint of difficult causes.

With a plan in the shape of a Latin Cross with two chapels on the sides, the images of Jesus of the Greatest Sorrow are housed, it represents Jesus gathering up his clothes even while tied to the column where he has been whipped, the Holy Cross, and our Father Jesus Prisoner , a full wooden carving represents Jesus at the moment of being captured in the olive garden, in the opposite chapel is Maria Santísima de la Soledad, an image of a basket of great beauty, from the Granada school, which bears a lot of resemblance to other Sorrows of some disciple of the Granada school of the golden century, all of them carvings of great artistic value, of simple and striking beauty.

In the central dome are the coats of arms of the Bernuy family, Marquises of Benamejí.

This hermitage has a simple, neoclassical façade dominated by the large brick belfry that crowns it.

Built in 1682 and of which several arches of the porticoed patio and the Baroque façade of the Church are currently preserved, recently restored and enhanced."
