The gravel Spring Ridge Road, which connects Gulgong to the Dunedoo to Dubbo road, had very short sections of bitumen adjacent to the cement base under the flowing Laheys Creek. There was patches of bitumen missing. There had been a little rain locally, but nothing like what came the night after.
