Estatua de Fernando I a lomos de un caballo, cuando aun era Infante de Castilla, antes de llegar a ser Rey de Aragón.
La estatua esta sobre un gran pedestal, lo que la hace muy visible debido a la altura.
Está realizada en bronce y el pedestal está realizado en mármol rojo.

"La obra se ubica en la plaza del Coso Viejo y fue inaugurada el 13 de diciembre de 2002 por Jesús Gavira.
Sobre un basamento de mármol rojo torcal se alza la escultura ecuestre de 2.000 Kg. de peso, que representa al Infante, llevando al paso el caballo sobre el que monta y tres metros y medio de altura en actitud reflexiva, y portando en la mano derecha el bastón de mando . El infante va vestido con armadura del siglo XV, y lleva en la mano derecha el pliego de condiciones de la rendición de Antequera.
Fernando, que sería luego rey de Aragón con el nombre de Fernando I, había nacido en Medina del Campo el año 1380. Entre sus logros en el campo de batalla recuperó de los musulmanes los lugares conquistados recientemente por éstos y ocupó varias plazas fuertes en poder de aquellos, siendo la más renombrada la de Antequera que conquistó el 24 de septiembre de 1410.Esta gesta le valió el sobre nombre de “de Antequera” con el que le conoce la Historia. Dos años más tarde fue nombrado Rey.
La obra se inauguró con motivo del 500 aniversario del acceso al trono de Fernando I."
