This blue painted steel sculpture show two figures intertwined and titled "Circular Couple". According to its Smithsonian entry: "Gift of the Merlin Kellers in 1983. The sculpture was executed while the artist, a 1958 graduate of the University, was a guest sculptor there in the 1960s. IAS files contain an unpublished excerpt from Einar Kvaran's "Annotated Inventory of Outdoor Sculpture in Washtenaw County," 1989.  DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH: The piece appears to have been repainted. SIRIS calls it light grey but to me it is now a deep blue.
