DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1975 (JCL) THE STATION IS THE APEX OF VENT ATOP THE ALTO RIEGEL FABRICS WATER TANK. THE TANK HAS A CYLINDRICAL BODY WITH A DOME TOP AND HEMISPHERICAL BOTTOM SUPPORTED BY FOUR TUBULAR LEGS. IT IS BLUE IN COLOR AND APPROXIMATELY 130 FEET HIGH. LOCATED ABOUT 0.7 MILE SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF ALTO, 0.15 MILE SOUTHEAST OF U.S. HIGHWAY 23 AND AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE PLANT COMPLEX.
