Según ha contado el propio Yagües en el programa Hoy por hoy, mientras compartía una comida con unos clientes alemanes en Guadix, todos se quedaron sorprendidos por lo bien que sabía el vino blanco que les habían servido. Tal fue el flechazo con aquel caldo que Pepe Yagües decidió preguntar dónde podía encontrar más botellas para así poder agasajar a sus clientes en próximas visitas. Fue así como conoció a Torcuato Huertas, dueño de la bodega donde se etiquetan vinos como 'Purulio' o 'Jaral'. Tras numerosos encuentros se forjó entre ambos una bonita amistad.

Un día Torcuato llamó por teléfono a Yagües para comunicarle que su padre había muerto y que como Rafael no era una persona religiosa pues que mejor que el escultor de Molina de Segura para hacerle una propuesta para la tumba de sus padres. Al parecer, lo último que pidió el padre de Torcuato antes de morir fue una copa de vino, y entre este deseo y la tradición vinícola de la familia, a Pepe Yagües se le ocurrió esculpir una gigantesca botella de vino en pizarra para así rendir homenaje a los padres de su amigo. Dicho y hecho. De esta forma los padres de Torcutato, Primitiva y Rafael descansan felizmente bajo una botella de vino donde el escultor ha reproducido sus siluetas jóvenes y bellas.
