The large, flat, and sprawling Ilford Cemetery was gazetted over 150 years ago, when there was a local gold rush. With only some 150 headstones it is rather underutilised! By colour coding of various areas the map shows that you are next to the Anglican sector right off Cafes Road gated entrance. It also shows the Methodist & Presbyterian, and Catholic sections (Anglican and Methodist being THE churches of the community in the late 1800s); with the columbarium Memorial Wall south of the large Native Grass Area.
