DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1975 (JCL) THE STATION IS THE BALL TOP CENTER OF THE CORNELIA SOUTH MUNICIPAL WATER STANDPIPE. THE STANDPIPE HAS A CYLINDRICAL BODY WITH A UMBRELLA TOP AND IS APPROXIMATELY 20 FEET IN DIAMETER. IT IS SILVER IN COLOR AND APPROXIMATELY 120 FEET HIGH. LOCATED IN THE SOUTH SECTION OF CORNELIA, ABOUT 0.7 MILE SOUTH OF THE CENTER OF TOWN AND 175 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF U.S. HIGHWAYS 23 AND 123.
