The Wawel Dragon statue spews real fire every five minutes. The six-metre tall statue is made by Bronislaw Chromy. It is a major tourist attraction and everyone waits to see when it spews fire.

At the foot of Wawel Hill, on the Vistula side, there is a cave where a dragon lived. It terrorized the citizens of Krakow for many years, but a cunning cobbler found a solution to get rid of the dragon.
He threw a sheep stuffed with sulfur to the dragon, which swallowed the sheep in one mouthful. However, it became so thirsty that it drank and drank from the Vistula river. It drank so much water that it finally exploded and that was the end of the dragon.
