This zero milestone marker is located in in front of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at 1 N Front St, Memphis, TN 38103. This location is more significant for this milestone because the building used to be the U.S. Customs House/Court House/ Post Office when it was built in 1885.

The milestone sit directly in front of a multi-war memorial which was recently damaged as seen in my photos. The marker is a metal disc sitting on a limestone stub of a base. The stone is etched with

The bronze compass disc that sits atop the limestone reads: "DISTANCE FROM MEMPHIS MEASURED FROM THIS POINT" in a complete circle. The very center of the disc has the number 272.568 on it which would most likely be the height above sea level at this location.
