The Wolseley Centre is the Headquarters for the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, the county's leading nature conservation charity. It is an award winning centre, set in 26 acres of beautiful grounds where you can explore interesting features and wildlife-friendly display gardens. The grounds that were once the ancestral home of the Wolseley family, are now managed with wildlife in mind, yet still cater for people of all ages and mobility.
The elevated boardwalk at the Staffordshire Wildlife Trusts Wolseley Centre is constructed of weather resistant recycled plastic. It weaves above tranquil pools, streams and lush marshland and offers views over tranquil pools and across the River Trent and beyond. There are also two picnic benches located on the boardwalk.
The new boardwalk was official opened on 10th September 2011 by Mike Dilger of BBC's The One Show after a colourful clog dance by the Beggars Oak Clog Dancers.
Photographs of the opening can be seen at the following link: (
