"Plaza Ochavada in Archidona (province of Málaga, Spain) is a baroque-style plaza built around 1786. It is one of the main performances of Andalusian baroque urban planning.

In the place where the square is located today there was an unhealthy area that caused hygienic problems in the city, which is why the construction of the square was planned. The project was entrusted to the architects Antonio González Sevillano and Francisco Astorga Frías, who designed an octagonal floor plan and a different decoration for each of its eight facades.

The square soon became the administrative center of the town, where the Town Hall was installed and bullfights were held. The project was completed with the layout of Salazar Street, which linked Plaza Ochavada with the Santo Domingo convent. In 2010 it was decided to recover the celebration of bullfighting shows in the square. "
