"In 2014, a new hospital group was born from the merger of the Bohler Clinic, the Kirchberg Hospital, the ZithaKlinik and the Sainte Marie Clinic: the Robert Schuman Hospitals. More than 280 doctors with independent status and an average of 2,250 employees are committed to ensuring high quality care and personalized service with a strong human component.
In order to ensure that patient care remains focused on their requirements, responsibility for the patient's journey has been distributed across 7 areas of activity :
- the “ Woman, Mother, Child ” center is mainly centered at the Bohler Clinic, - the “ Geriatrics
” center is made up of acute geriatrics and ortho-geriatrics services (Kirchberg site) as well as a rehabilitation service and a unit cognitive-behavioral (located at the Sainte Marie Clinic), - the “ Psychiatry ” center has three adult psychiatry units and the National Juvenile Psychiatry Service (Kirchberg site), an Addictology-Hepatology unit (site ZithaKlinik) and brings together 3 sectors of activity: outpatient consultations, withdrawal hospitalization and intra-hospital liaison psychiatry. The multidisciplinary team offers comprehensive care for people with dependence on various psychoactive substances and/or behavioral addiction, - the “ Internal Medicine ” center brings together different specialties: cardiology, neurology, nephrology-dialysis, endocrinology, diabetology , dermatology, pneumology, vascular surgery, diabetes clinic, hyperbaric clinic, diabetic foot clinic, pediatrics, diagnostic technical platform, - the “ Musculoskeletal system ” center brings together orthopedic specialties, traumatology as well as hand surgery (on the Kirchberg site), neurosurgery and rheumatology at the Zithaklinik, - the “ Visceral-Oncology ” center brings together gastroenterology, visceral and vascular surgery, thoracic surgery and pulmonology, urology and medical oncology on two sites in Luxembourg with a strong point at the ZithaKlinik, - the transversal center consists of the emergency department, operating theaters and medical imaging. Management of the on-call emergency department is centralized on the Kirchberg Hospital site. Each center has its own medical management and care management (medical-nursing pairs) to ensure the operational management of the center. The directors of the activity centers and cross-functional clinical services (emergency, intensive care, operating room, sterilization, medical imaging) benefit from autonomy in their leadership to make all decisions regarding direct patient care."
