"Al contrario de lo que ocurre en otras iglesias de la Comarca, la Iglesia de la Consolación no está ubicada en el centro de una plaza, sino simplemente como una vivienda más de la calle Málaga de Villanueva de Algaidas.

La iglesia fue construida entre 1904 y 1907, pero restaurada (su fachada) en la década de los 80 mediante suscripción popular.

Su fachada es de dos cuerpos y espadaña. El primero, presenta la portada con pilastras que soportan un frontón triangular, sobre el que se apoyan otras dos que flanquean una hornacina en la que se aloja una Inmaculada; el segundo está formado por un frontón triangular en cuyo centro se abre un óculo circular. La espadaña está formada por un arco de medio punto entre pilastras que alberga la campana, rematada con un frontón mixtilíneo y una cruz en la parte superior.

El interior consta de una sola nave y coro, que ocupa un tercio de su longitud."

"Unlike what happens in other churches in the region, the Church of Consolation is not located in the center of a square, but simply as another home on Málaga Street in Villanueva de Algaidas.
