En la Placeta de la seda, en plena Alcaicería podemos ver algunos mosaicos con estampas de Granada de otros tiempos, entre ellos un poema de Ángel Ganivet que cito a continuación:
¡Que silenciosos dormís
torreones de la Alhambra!
Dormís soñando en la muerte,
y la muerte esta lejana.
Sale el sol, y vuestros muros,
tiñen con tonos dorados.
Sale la luna y os besa
con su rayo de luz blanca,
y vosotros dormís siempre
y la muerte esta lejana.
La noche serena os cubre
con su túnica estrellada,
y la noche tenebrosa
os prende con sus negras alas,
y vosotros dormís siempre.

puras gotas de rocío
vuestras almenas esmaltan
la lluvia cruel azotan .
Vuestras macizas murallas.

La brisa amorosa os trae

y a las viejas puertas llama,

Un sueño de largos siglos

Cuando llegue a los cimientos
vuestra muerte esta cercana,
