"En Montefrío la huella de la historia es omnipresente. Se cristaliza por doquier en ruinas, monumentos y vistas. Estos vestigios tan notables son el reverso de un sedimento imperceptible: lo cotidiano. Así como se ha excavado, construido y cuidado, rescatado del olvido todo lo que compone nuestra historia; entendemos que hay que rescatar también esas actividades realizadas por las mujeres que la sostienen, desde ese silencio siempre memorioso, nunca ocioso.
En muchas ocasiones, vivimos entre monumentos invisibles. El cemento y los muros de contención de esta construcción social han sido y siguen siendo siempre principalmente, las mujeres. Ellas son la red social de la historia humana, mujeres “de carne y hueso”. Los pilares de la comunidad son personas que sostienen la casa común, son las columnas. Parte del mismo todo.
Si queremos nutrirnos de la historia completa necesitamos visibilizar la labor desarrollada por las mujeres. Desempolvar el arquetipo, muchas veces anónimo, de la madre, la agricultora, la religiosa, la partera o la maestra, para que aparezca la heroína. Si no lo hacemos, esa mujer “de carne y hueso” ocupará tan sólo un lugar en el museo de nuestra memoria.
Ese museo invisible, la huella sobre la piedra
Nuestro objetivo en el proyecto Huellas Montefrío ha sido plasmar esa huella intangible sobre el paisaje, grabarla sobre el patrimonio que ayudaron a construir y sostener las mujeres, en definitiva: Ponerlas en el mapa.
Este proyecto, impulsado por la Delegación de Igualdad de la Diputación de Granada, quiere homenajear a todas las mujeres montefrieñas, a sus huellas; y lo hace con un mapa real, un mural hecho en barro cocido por el artista Ángel Doblás, en el que se materializan nombres de mujeres representativas de todas las mujeres que nos han precedido en este pueblo y que podéis disfrutar al lado del Ayuntamiento. Un lugar visible y reconocido para toda la población.
Además, las mujeres participantes en este proyecto protagonizan un video creativo de la mano de los directores artísticos del proyecto Huellas, Larisa Ramos Rzasa y Antonio Ramos Leiva. Un video realizado por Miguel Moreno Moral en el que se plasma, a modo de metáfora, la huella de esas mujeres monumentales".

That invisible museum, the footprint on the stone
Our objective in the Huellas Montefrío project has been to capture that intangible footprint on the landscape, to record it on the heritage that women helped build and sustain, in short: Put them on the map.
This project, promoted by the Equality Delegation of the Granada Provincial Council, wants to pay tribute to all Montefrieño women, to their footprints; and it does so with a real map, a mural made of baked clay by the artist Ángel Doblás, in which the names of women representative of all the women who have preceded us in this town materialize and that you can enjoy next to the Town Hall. A visible and recognized place for the entire population.
In addition, the women participating in this project star in a creative video by the artistic directors of the Huellas project, Larisa Ramos Rzasa and Antonio Ramos Leiva. "A video made by Miguel Moreno Moral in which, as a metaphor, the footprint of those monumental women is captured."
