There are a lot of memorials here tribute to a poetries and writers of Galician. One of Them is Otero Pedrayo, a face in relief made with bornze over murble.
They have already suffered vandalism in which some had their noses broken.
They are in Plaza MAyor and Bispo Aguirre street.

"Ramón Antonio Vicente Otero Pedrayo ( Orense , March 5, 1888 - Orense , April 10, 1976 ) was a Spanish writer and politician, ideologically linked to republican Galicianism .

Born in Orense on March 5, 1888, he belonged to the so-called Nós ("We") group. He worked different literary genres: essay, novel and poetry, in addition to geographical scientific studies from his chair at the University of Santiago de Compostela . In the Guide to Galicia , which he directed, there are some of his best contributions. A member of the Galeguista Party , he was a deputy in the Courts of the Republic.

Notable among his novels are Os camiños da vida ( The Paths of Life ) and O meson dos Ermos ( The Inn of the Ermos ), a detailed description of Galician customs and rural life. But the best known is Arredor de si ( Around oneself ), which can be considered partially autobiographical and allows us to glimpse the paths traveled by the members of the so-called Nós Generation until Galicianism. In this "autobiographical" sense, Arredor de si is completed with the articles Dos nosos tempos ( Of our times) by Florentino López Cuevillas, and with Nós, os inadaptados ( We, the misfits ) by Vicente Risco , the latter two appearing in the magazine Nós .

The library and the documents and writings of Otero Pedrayo are preserved by the foundation that bears his name and the Penzol Foundation, the former managing the Trasalba house-museum.
