[ES] “El Estadio Metropolitano, conocido actualmente como Estadio Cívitas Metropolitano por motivos de patrocinio, es un recinto deportivo propiedad del Club Atlético de Madrid, situado en el barrio de Rosas, distrito de San Blas-Canillejas, en Madrid, España.

El estadio tiene un aforo de 70 460 espectadores, con su graderío dividido en tres niveles, formando tres anillos continuos a excepción de la grada alta del lateral oeste. Fue inaugurado como estadio propiedad del Club Atlético de Madrid el 16 de septiembre de 2017, con la disputa del partido Atlético-Málaga (1-0), correspondiente a la jornada 4 del Campeonato Nacional de Liga, tras la reforma y ampliación acometida entre 2011 y 2017.

Originariamente, este recinto deportivo fue inaugurado el 6 de septiembre de 1994 como estadio de atletismo, impulsado por la Comunidad de Madrid, siendo conocido popularmente como La Peineta, debido a la apariencia de su tribuna principal. En 2002, su titularidad fue transferida al Ayuntamiento de Madrid, formando parte de las candidaturas olímpicas de 2012, 2016 y 2020, de la ciudad de Madrid. Finalmente, el consistorio suscribió un convenio patrimonial con el Club Atlético de Madrid en 2008, por el cual se traspasaba la propiedad del recinto al club rojiblanco, tras el proyecto de reforma.

Hasta la temporada 2021-22, el Estadio llevaba el nombre comercial de Wanda Metropolitano, por el patrocinador inicial de dicho recinto, la empresa Wanda Group. A partir del 19 de julio de 2022, el Estadio es renombrado Cívitas Metropolitano, debido a la alianza entre el equipo colchonero y el mencionado club de empresas, según dice en su página oficial.”

The stadium has a capacity of 70,460 spectators, with its stands divided into three levels, forming three continuous rings except for the high stand on the west side. It was inaugurated as a stadium owned by Club Atlético de Madrid on September 16, 2017, with the dispute of the Atlético-Málaga match (1-0), corresponding to matchday 4 of the National League Championship, after the reform and expansion undertaken between 2011 and 2017.

Originally, this sports venue was inaugurated on September 6, 1994 as an athletics stadium, promoted by the Community of Madrid, and was popularly known as La Peineta, due to the appearance of its main stand. In 2002, its ownership was transferred to the Madrid City Council, forming part of the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Olympic bids of the city of Madrid. Finally, the council signed a property agreement with Club Atlético de Madrid in 2008, by which ownership of the venue was transferred to the red and white club, after the reform project.

Until the 2021-22 season, the Stadium carried the commercial name of Wanda Metropolitano, after the initial sponsor of said venue, the company Wanda Group. As of July 19, 2022, the Stadium is renamed Cívitas Metropolitano, due to the alliance between the colchonero team and the aforementioned business club, according to its official website.”
