The 'wheat-coloured' Colorbond shed has a low-pitched 'gabled roof' with multiple 'Whirly-birds' on the roof, and four roller doors opening onto a modest concrete apron that connects to a shared bitumen drive and open air car park, out to Muldoon Street. The western roller door is under a skillion roof. There is a very tall wooden pole at the north eastern corner of the Firehouse for the raising and draining of the used fire hoses. A volunteer was there, and checked on me while I was photographing it.

On the western side is the State Emergency Services building, and on the east is the Mid Coast Rural Fire Service District office.
