This plaque marks the location of the southwest wall of the old Roman settlement of Segontium.
'Hen Walia' means 'Old Walls' in Welsh.
Located in a small enclosure at the side of Lôn Parc in Caernarfon the path of the wall is marked by paving stones on the ground.
The small plot of land was purchased by The Caernarfon civic society in 1969.
The text on the bilingual sign reads:
