El campanario dispone de un total de quince campanas, trece de ellas todas del siglo XX. La campana de las horas, del año 1580 y la campana de los cuartos del año 1759.

"Torre campanario Se eleva con tres cuerpos, remate y chapitel. El ascenso se hace a través de una escalera de caracol que sube cubierta por el exterior de la torre hasta el segundo cuerpo en que se introduce por el interior de la torre. La entrada que se sitúa en la base tiene en su parte superior una inscripción que dice: Reinando Felipe V / y siendo pontífice su santidad el papa / Clemente XI / y obispo de Guadix-Baza fray Juan de Montalbán / Año MDCCXV.
En un cuerpo intermedio entre el segundo y el tercer cuerpo y antes de subir al cuerpo de campanas se haya la vivienda del campanero, con suelo de madera y varias habitaciones con distribución propia para habitar.
El primer cuerpo está hecho en piedra y fue realizado por Diego de Siloé en 1556; en su interior se encuentra la sacristía con entrada por la girola.
El segundo cuerpo es de ladrillo y se levantó en el siglo XVII en un tiempo en que las obras de la catedral se encontraban paralizadas. El tercer cuerpo levantado también en ladrillo es del siglo XVIII. En este tercer cuerpo o sala de campanas hallamos un balcón corrido (balcón volado) en hierro forjado que forma rodeando todo el perímetro de la torre una perfecta galería con vistas a Guadix y sus alrededores.
Completa la torre campanario un remate octogonal con linterna realizado en 1863 (siglo XIX) por Juan Pugnaire mientras que el chapitel que lo remata con la figura del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús es obra realizada en 1945 por Amadeo Ruiz del Olmo. La estatua del Sagrado Corazón estaba dotado de un mecanismo que permitía orientarlo hacia uno u otro barrio de Guadix, hoy día este mecanismo se encuentra estropeado y por tanto ya no cumple su función.

"Bell tower It rises with three sections, a top and a spire. The ascent is made through a spiral staircase that goes up covered by the outside of the tower to the second section in which it is entered through the interior of the tower. In an intermediate body between the second and third body and before going up to the bell body there is the bell ringer's home, with wooden floors and several rooms with their own distribution to live in.
The first body is made of stone and was made by Diego de Siloé in 1556; Inside is the sacristy with entrance through the ambulatory.
The second body is made of brick and was built in the 17th century at a time when the work on the cathedral was paralyzed. The third body, also built in brick, is from the 18th century. In this third body or bell room we find a continuous balcony (overhead balcony) in wrought iron that forms a perfect gallery surrounding the entire perimeter of the tower with views of Guadix and its surroundings.
The bell tower is completed by an octagonal top with a lantern made in 1863 (19th century) by Juan Pugnaire, while the spire that tops it with the figure of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a work made in 1945 by Amadeo Ruiz del Olmo. The statue of the Sacred Heart was equipped with a mechanism that allowed it to be oriented towards one or another neighborhood of Guadix. Today this mechanism is damaged and therefore no longer fulfills its function.
The bell tower has a total of fifteen bells, thirteen of them, all from the 20th century, are in the body of bells, the remaining two are in the octagonal top, these are the hour bell, from 1580 and the bell of the rooms of 1759".
