This is one of the many dedicated benches in The Alameda Botanic Gardens, a place that invites reflection and calm, appropriate to honor those who are no longer here.

The inscription on the plaque says:

”In memory of
REGINA CARUANA
1904 – 1958
ANTONIO CARUANA
1902 – 1959
Who were evacuated to London
in 1939”
