A Texas historical marker is mounded on a large brown sandstone boulder in the front yard of the La Vernia City Hall building at 102 Chihuahua East, La Vernia, TX 78121. This is one of two metal historical marker found on the boulder.

This Texas historical marker is the smaller marker of the two that are mounted on a large boulder in front of the La Vernia City Hall. This marker is on the left, when the reader is looking at the two on the boulder. The Chihuahua Road is one of the old trails that was used centuries by indigenous Americans traveling from their long established villages and later by the many foreign explorers who passed through Texas looking for wealth, glory, and places to settle in a new land.
