The location comprises tower, head keeper's quarters, assistant keeper's quarters, former oil store, and other outbuildings.
Adjacent to the tower are the head keeper's quarters and the quarters for the assistant keepers. These quarters are rendered and are built of either concrete or brick. The hipped roofs were originally clad with iron and have subsequently been reclad with tiles. The head keeper's house as built consisted of five rooms and a kitchen and store, while the assistant keepers' quarters, built in the form of a duplex, consisted of four rooms each plus a kitchen and store.
