El Ayuntamiento de Estepa quiso rendir un homenaje a la mujer "mantecaera", en la persona de una señora mayor que había trabajado toda su vida en la elaboración del mantecado y de otros exquisitos productos característicos de la Navidad, que dan renombre nacional y mundialmente a Estepa.
Para tal ocasión se mandó hacer un pequeño pero entrañable conjunto escultórico, obra de un artista estepeño, en cuya composición se reflejan tallados los bustos de dos generaciones de mantecaderas que representa a una mujer joven y otra mayor, que con sus pañuelos en la cabeza, están liando unos mantecados.
